Cheap PS4 - Why Pay More?

PS4 UPDATE: Word from Sony is that you shouldn't expect a PS4 release in 2010. In reality Sony needs to recoup some money from the PS3 so they are going to keep selling that system for as long as possible. If they sell more PS3 consoles, the PS4 will be a cheaper price at the release phase.

We all love the Playstation 3. Maybe not at first because it was a slow seller in the beginning, but eventually with a price drop, we all bought the PS3. A cheap PS3 helped Sony in the console gaming sales department for sure. The Playstation 4 is next up for Sony. We don't know when yet, but I would expect sometime in 2010 we might get information about the next playstation which is the PS4.

Video gaming has been huge for Sony and the Playstation consoles. Nintendo has been very popular with their Wii system and even Microsoft has done well with the Xbox 360. The next generation of gaming consoles is a chance for Sony to put their PS4 ahead of the pack. I think they learned some lessons in terms of their expensive console.

Cheap is what people want and cheap PS4 is what people will wait for. Perhaps this time Sony will have less bells and whistles on their Playstation 4 so they can lower the price. Remember cheap isn't lousy quality! We all know that the PS3 and others were very well made video game consoles.

Sony were the big losers in the last round of console battles. Wii on top followed by the Xbox 360, and in last the PS3. Even a price drop and cheap ps3 price point couldn't take Sony Playstation higher and capture second prize in the console wars. I'm sure Sony has learned and a cheap PS4 will be their top priority.
